GCI Founding President Mikhail Gorbachev and GCI President Alexander Likhotal, on a visit to Lebanon, had meeting on 1 February 2010, with the Prime Minister, Mr. Saad Hariri, President Michel Sleiman and Nabih Berri, President of the Parliament.Their discussions covered the Middle East peace process, and the region’s development and environmental challenges, particularly climate change. Lebanon’s leaders welcomed the idea of launching a GCI national chapter in Lebanon and promised their support for it.
